Last night DCMS took a little field trip to the WORLD PREMIERE of a new musical called Manny Quinn. The show is playing in Break for the Border as part of the Absolute Gay theatre Festival.
The show is based around the character of Logan who inadvertantly falls in love with a mannequin.
The best bit however is that all the songs within the show are past Irish Eurovision entrys, which leads to a huge amount of gags and a hilarious show. Logan, along with his friends Linda and Martin - hahaha- are wonderful characters ands DCMS is delighted to support this new show.
So 13 of us met at the gaiety is what genuinely was freezing cold weather at half 7 to procede to the show for 8.
With some people having just arrived back from a certain festival there was some seriously tired faces in the crowd, but it's safe to say that everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Manny Quinn is playing in Break for the Border until Saturday 15th, and Ms. DCMS is urging everyone to go to this wonderful show!
In other news AUDITIONS for Tick Tick Boom will be held in Doyle's on May 24th.
Till next time

Tick Tick Tick TICK....
Yes you heard right,
Dublin City Musical Society already has another exciting show lined up for its extremely large fanbase!
Having just given you the spectacular Opening Night the society will be bringing you the IRISH PREMIERE of Jonathan Larson's autobiographical musical' Tick Tick Boom'.
Larson, the writer of the Tony Award winning Rent, wrote Tick Tick Boom as a solo performance which was then adapted for Broadway after his death.
The musical has never been done in Ireland before either professionally or otherwise, and DCMS will be bringing it too you in July in an exclusive city center venue.
An information meeting was held in Doyle's (as usual) on Monday to give members a chance to listen to the script and the music. It seems to have gone down well, there's no way anyone could NOT like this musical.
Audtions will be held on Monday week and the audition pieces have been sent out to anyone on the mailing list, so get reading and singing and give it your best shot. You never know,YOU could be the one starring in the Irish Premiere of this wonderful musical.
For those who don't know the musical( don't worry of you don't, you're one of many) here's a little peek at some of the music. If you like Rent you'll love this.
So back into rehersals, and don't forget, there is an amazing series of workshops with the amazing Anthony starting in a few weeks, so make sure to get your membership forms in!
Hope to see you all at auditions. Here we go again!
